When in doubt… call a professional. That’s the disclaimer. Because let’s be real, some DIY projects are better left to the experts—especially anything involving fire, electricity, or moving cars.

But then there’s listener Fiona. Fi doesn’t just take disclaimers lightly, she rewrites them.

Recently, she fixed her car’s cruise control. Yes, the mechanism that drives the car for you while you sip coffee or sing along to the radio. Apparently, it wasn’t holding properly.

The culprit? The brake pedal wasn’t releasing as it should, so the car thought she was tapping the brake all the time. The fix? A little adjustment of the pedal. Simple, right? Well… if you’re Fi!

Cue incredulous applause from everyone else. Kel reminded her to test it on a quiet road, because obviously. But still, how often do you meet someone who just looks at a problem, says, “I’ll have a crack at that,” and then actually fixes it?

Of course, most of us should probably stick to mechanics. But sometimes, it’s fun to marvel at people who live life a little differently. Who see a “problem” and think, maybe, I can solve this myself.

So, the question is: what’s the last thing you fixed that made you secretly feel like a legend?
