Stress. Pressure. Deadlines. Bills. Kids. Relationships. Health. Some days it feels like you’re carrying the whole world on your shoulders. And no matter how hard you try, the load just gets heavier.

Do you ever lie awake at night replaying the same problem over and over? You think through every scenario, every “what if,” and still … nothing changes. That’s because overthinking doesn’t fix your problems. It just steals your peace.

A psychologist once compared overthinking to sitting in a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it doesn’t actually get you anywhere. That’s what worry is like. It consumes your energy, eats away at your joy, but leaves you stuck in the same spot.

So what’s the answer? How do you get through this?

1 Peter 5:7 Give all your worries to him, because he cares for you.

You don’t have to carry the weight of those constant mental gymnastics. You don’t have to keep circling round the same fears like a broken record. Instead, you can hand them over – all of them – to the One who already knows the ending.

And here’s the difference: when you pray and leave it with God, peace steps in. Because you’re no longer trying to solve tomorrow in your own head. You’re trusting the God who holds tomorrow in His hands.

Jesus bore the heaviest weight of all – your sin and mine – at the cross. If He carried that, He can carry this. Your stress. Your fear. Your sleepless nights. Stop going round in circles. Pray. Hand it over. And rest.

Because the God who loves you isn’t just able to carry your burdens – He wants to.

That’s His Word. Fresh … for you … today.
