We’re so excited to be bringing back Lucy & Kel’s Screening with Meaning, our special event designed to give kids (and their families) a moment of joy, hope and lightness if they’ve been doing it tough.

Lucy & Kel’s Screening with Meaning is a free, joy-filled movie premiere for children who’ve faced hardship in recent times, and this year are excited to announce we will be showing an advance screening of Bad Guys 2… before it’s even been released in theatres around Australia!
But this event is about a lot more than popcorn and drinks (though yes, those are free too!) it’s about creating a space where kids can simply be kids again, and where TheLight families can come together. And of course, where they can meet (and hug, we promise) Lucy and Kel… with some special surprises thrown in too!

Maybe it’s been a year filled with a big health diagnosis, school challenges, family problems or even some emotional battles… whatever your story, we know some kids just need a win, and this afternoon is all about them.

If you know a child who would be lifted by this experience, we’d love to hear from you. A parent or guardian can submit a nomination, telling us why they think their little legend deserves to be part of this beautiful day.

We can’t fix everything, but for a couple of hours, we hope to remind these kids just how seen, special and strong they really are.
