🎤 Meet Our Co-Host: Matthew Paul Cooper

Matthew Paul Cooper is a Brisbane-based songwriter, recording artist, producer, husband, and father of three whose passion is helping Christian songwriters and artists bring their God-given songs to life. Through his music and production work, Matthew is dedicated to developing and amplifying the unique sound emerging from worshippers, creatives, and ministries around the world.

Operating from his Brisbane recording studio, Matthew has spent years partnering with Christian artists to produce and release music that carries authenticity, excellence, and a heart for worship. His mission is simple yet powerful: to capture the sound of the secret place and see it heard at the ends of the earth. Whether behind the microphone or in the producer’s chair, he is committed to creating music that points people toward Jesus and encourages believers in their faith journey.

As an artist, Matthew’s songs are rooted in Scripture and personal devotion, reflecting a deep desire to communicate biblical truth through meaningful melodies and honest lyrics. After focusing on his work with other artists, he returned to releasing his own music with EVERGREEN, his first personal release in five years. Inspired by Psalm 1, the song celebrates the blessing of being planted by streams of living water, bearing fruit in every season, and finding lasting hope and security in Christ.

Today, Matthew continues to balance family life, music ministry, and artist development, serving the Christian music community while creating songs that encourage worship, faith, and a deeper connection with God.

✨ My One To Watch this week is Brisbane-based worship collective Emmanuel Worship.

Based in Brisbane, Emmanuel Worship is a contemporary Catholic worship collective with a heart to bring wholehearted worship to both the Church and the world. While they occupy a unique space within Australian Christian music, their vision extends far beyond denominational lines, with a desire to serve and encourage the wider Church through powerful, Christ-centred worship.

Their upcoming single, “Christ Is King”, releasing July 31, is the first of six songs recorded live following what the group describes as a fresh move of the Holy Spirit within their community. Captured live in Brisbane, the song carries an energy and expectancy that reflects the season from which it was born.

Beyond the music itself, Emmanuel Worship is helping build bridges across the Australian Christian music landscape, forming connections with worship ministries and artists from a variety of backgrounds. With a growing catalogue, a passion for unity, and a clear focus on lifting up the name of Jesus, Emmanuel Worship is creating songs that point people back to Christ and they’re absolutely one to watch.
