🎤 Meet Our Co-Host: Elijsha Davey
Elijsha Davey is a rising singer-songwriter from Toowoomba, Queensland, whose music blends pop, country, and heartfelt storytelling into a sound that feels both fresh and deeply relatable. Growing up in regional Australia, Elijsha was shaped by small-town life and a love of honest songwriting, influences that continue to inform her warm melodies and emotionally open lyricism. Her sound draws comparisons to artists like Taylor Swift, Kelsea Ballerini and Maisie Peters, pairing diary-like storytelling with polished pop hooks.
Elijsha began gaining wider attention through Triple J Unearthed, where her songs showcased a natural gift for narrative-driven writing and melodic charm. Tracks such as “Maddy” and “Glimpse” introduced listeners to her ability to capture everyday moments with sincerity and emotional clarity. ✨ My One To Watch this week is Queensland artist Joel Hunt – an artist, producer, composer and guitarist creating immersive instrumental music that truly takes you somewhere. His brand new album AudioVisual invites listeners into a rich, cinematic soundscape, inspired by the way instrumental music sparks imagery and emotion in the mind’s eye.
