This week at Experience Church, in the second of a four-sermon series, Mark Sayers from Red Church invited us to rethink what makes the Church truly magnetic in a fragmented world: the quiet, transformative power of discipleship. Drawing from John 1:35 – 43 and surprising research showing a rise in church attendance among younger generations, Mark pushed back on the narrative of decline. His central idea reframed everything: “Discipleship is the process of becoming who Jesus would be if He were you.” What if Jesus navigated your relationships, your workplace, your decisions? This message calls us to surrender not just our hearts, but our habits, patterns, and perspectives, so that Christ’s power might meet us in the ordinary and make it holy.
