This Sunday at Experience Church, Tim Homan from One Church shared a powerful message titled, Teach Us to Pray, drawing from the powerful words of Jesus in John 17.
The disciples didn’t ask Jesus to teach them how to lead or perform miracles, they asked Him to teach them how to pray, because they had seen that everything He did flowed from that place of quiet, sacred connection with the Father. In this rare moment, Jesus prays aloud in front of His friends, letting them, and us, hear His heart. It’s not a performance; it’s an invitation. An invitation to come close, to listen in, and to know the Father the way Jesus does. Through this prayer, we’re drawn into the love, trust, and unity that define God’s heart. And in that place, we’re reminded that prayer isn’t about getting the words right, it’s about being held, being known, and being changed by love.
