This Sunday on Experience Church, guest speaker Michael Grechko from CityLife Church delivered a heartfelt message titled Mothers & the Image of God.

Drawing from personal stories and Scripture, Michael honored the many expressions of motherhood, biological, adoptive, spiritual, and hopeful. He acknowledged the beauty and the pain that can accompany Mother’s Day, emphasizing that every woman who nurtures life reflects something profound about God’s character.

Michael highlighted five Christ-like qualities often seen in mothers: care, unconditional love, sacrifice, service, and the ability to give life. He reminded us that these qualities are not only essential for raising children, but also for making disciples. When we care deeply, love unconditionally, and serve sacrificially, we create space for others to experience God’s love and be spiritually “born again.” Just as mothers nurture their children to maturity, we are called to walk with others on their journey of faith.

The message encouraged us to imitate the selfless, nurturing spirit of mothers in our own lives. By doing so, we reflect more of God’s image and help prepare hearts to receive the gospel. Whether you’re a mom, a spiritual mentor, or someone who simply loves others well, your Christ-like actions have the power to bring transformation and new life.
