Main article content
Monash Clayton Christian Union (MCCU) is a faith-based club at Monash University Clayton campus, run by students, for students. MCCU’s mission is to make, mature, mobilise and send disciple-making disciples of Christ, for the glory of God.
MCCU’s 2020 goal is to reach all of Monash University’s 44,000 students come to know a disciple-making disciple and have heard the Good News. Aiming to evangelise, by hosting daily walk-up evangelism programs, public talks and one-on-one Bible reading. In order to equip our members for this, MCCU runs various activities to foster an attitude of putting God first in an institution designed to put the self first.
In light of the Novel Coronavirus, Monash University has cancelled orientation week out of concern for its students. The university’s decision to push back the start of the semester has placed pressure on MCCU to find alternative ways to reach thousands of new and returning students. The start of the semester is a critical time for MCCU as it provides them with the opportunity to proclaim Christ and gain members and supporters in order to keep operating.
MCCU is requesting assistance from the community to help the club raise awareness and continue on their work this year. If you are in a position to assist, MCCU has request prayers for the club to be equipped for the new year and that God will put the right people across its path. And, assist by spreading the word about MCCU to anyone who is about to start studying at Monash Clayton.
