Stepping up for others in public
Main article content
A recent video went viral of two Bunnings workers getting yelled at by a person not wanting to wear a mask in store after they became mandatory. Lucy shares that seeing those kinds of situations of injustice, makes her want to step up for others, not knowing if her voice will make a difference.
“I just wonder if we should just speak up more often”-Lucy says
Lucy and Kel discuss this topic of injustice and in times that this happens, does speaking up make a difference? Will it escalate the problem or make it better? “People wont be convinced enough that they’re in the wrong“- Kel says.
However if enough people have a voice, and say it’s not ok to behave this way, or to do the things they’re doing, it may just make enough of a difference to someone that situation.
Lucy and Kel hear from listeners who need to step up for others in times of injustice. Have a listen below to the full discussion!
