When Raul, a 34-year-old husband and father, got cataracts, it had a devastating impact on his family. Unable to provide an income anymore, he had no choice but to send his wife and son to her parent’s home on a neighbouring island, while he returned home to his own parents. Raul desperately wanted to be with his wife and to provide for his family, but he couldn’t work due to his failing eyesight.

Raul was still working to support family even if he couldn’t see

“It is very difficult to work with this eyesight problem because I can’t see what I am doing..But because I really wanted to help my family and really wanted to give a means of living for my family, I am still working even though I can’t see what I am doing.”-he says

After his operation, Raul dreams of continuing his studies and appreciating the beauty in life. “After the operation I want to see the beautiful things around me, and if my eyesight is restored, I want to help others. Perhaps, continue my studies, but I really want to work again if I can clearly see what I am doing.”

After the operation-

“My eyes are good today. I feel good! Thank you for your help. Because of you I was able to have my eyesight restored. And I hope you can help more people like me and now I am looking forward to working well again.”

Because of YOU and your $33 donation, Raul can now see, can work, be with and support his family. Donate today, this Miracles Day to provide a miracle!
