Road to Zero summer holidays program – Make a car, direct an ad

7th January 2020 @ 12:00 am - 25th January 2020 @ 4:00 am

| Free

During the free workshops, inquisitive youngsters (aged 4–10) will make a cardboard car model, then visit activity stations to achieve a five-star safety rating for their creation.

Older children (aged 8–13) can apply their powers of persuasion to making a TV ad about the importance of vehicle safety using Road to Zero’s high-tech touch screens, then submit their masterpiece to win the weekly competition prize pack valued at $200.

The activities introduce children and their parents/carers to the importance of vehicle safety features and the message that ‘more stars mean a safer car’, i.e. cars rated five safety stars provide greater protection to drivers, passengers, motorcycle riders, pedestrians and other road users.

Sessions run Tuesday to Saturday (note: not open on Sunday and Monday) until 25 January 2020.
